Whinge or win?

Fifteen British sailors have been seized at gunpoint by Iranian forces in Iraqi waters.

This is the second time this has happened. Obviously it is now a time for delicate diplomacy and supreme tact to secure their safe release. The cream of the Foreign Office will now, as I write, be working around the clock and behind the scenes, through every available channel, to ensure that our servicemen are released unharmed.

It is vitally important at this time that we remain calm, rational and detached. The safe return of our brave men must be paramount.

Then, once they have been returned safe and sound, we should blitz Tehran. If only!

Come to that, if only we had the capability!

Honestly, how can we allow this sort of blatant and deliberate provocation and humiliation to continue? There is no point complaining to the UN - they couldn't enforce a queue at a bus stop. Iran believes it can act with impunity in every respect - whether it is supplying terrorists with arms and munitions to kill our boys, supplying weapons to it's proxy armies to wage war against Israel or building nuclear weapons - they believe they can do anything and all the world will do is whinge a bit.

It's time to stop whinging and start winning.
