Fairy stories

Maybe, it's just me, but I find the news that primary school pupils as young as four are being taught about gay lifestyles utterly repugnant.

I don't really care much what gay people get up to in the privacy of their own home, but the idea of promoting homosexuality to young children is one that should be resisted by any decent, civilised society.

I know some people will argue that all they are doing is saying that it's OK for men to fall in love with men, but at that age the concept of "love" is very different from an adult one and to promote adult concepts about sexuality to very young children is simply wrong. It is not harmless and it is not right. There is a huge danger that this sort of teaching will lead to children being even more confused about their sexuality.

In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the aim - at least in part. To make young children think they are gay even if they are not by implanting the idea that the bond they develop with friends of the same sex is love and that they therefore must be gay.

Dangerous and wrong.
