I normally try to avoid commenting on cases such as this, but the item had Mrs Stan in tears this evening when it appeared on the news.

I've no doubt that there will be some serious hand wringing from the liberals about this and they will mouth repeated assurances that "lessons will be learned", but can anyone really tell me why a despicable thug like this should be allowed to live?

I keep hearing people say that the death penalty does not have a place in civilised society - but allowing people like this to live does?
