Welcome to Stasiland: MPs want even more snooping

Britons are already the most snooped on people in Europe (if not the western world).

Now MPs are demanding more funds are spent on more speed cameras so they can snoop on us still further.

They want to monitor where we go, how quickly we get there, who we talk to, what we do, what we throw away, what we watch, what we look for on the Internet, and what we read. They even want to control what we think and say.

Where they can not do so by surveillance they are now encouraging our neighbours to inform on us. Britain is becoming increasingly like East Germany. Of course, this is no surprise to many of us who understand that the inevitable (even if unintended) conclusion of socialism is totalitarianism.

The Road to Serfdom is paved with good intentions.
