In a world dominated by spin and equivocation dressed up as "diplomacy" it makes a refreshing change to hear a national leader speak in plain English.
Steven Harper, The Canadian Prime Minister, has ruled out talks with Hamas and Hezbollah - describing them as "genocidal".
Hear, hear!
What a difference Mr Harper makes to that champion of equivocation, the UN, who refuse to apply the term "genocide" in it's deliberations on Darfur - despite the deliberate killing of thousands of people who are of a certain religious, ethnic or racial group.
The UN refuse to apply the term genocide because that would mean they would have to take action - and the UN doesn't do action.
