Teachers from the NUT have voted for a 10% pay increase.
Activists insisted they would take "no lessons in morality" from ministers who fit their homes with "sinks from Habitat" - an attack on Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary.
No? But the rest of us are supposed to? How about they take a "lesson in morality" from us - the taxpayers. No - teachers are not taxpayers - their pay comes out of private sector taxes. They are tax recyclers and consume more than they recover.
So, the private sector is shedding jobs and taking wage cuts to cope with this recession - how about the teachers do the same?
