You may or may not have heard that there have been some "disturbances" in Windsor recently. Over the last few nights there have been clashes between "Asian" and white youths around the site of a Muslim dairy which is attempting to turn part of the site into a mosque.
If you get your news from the BBC, then you will be under the impression that these clashes were started by a "a minor verbal dispute between a group of youths and another person".
The Daily Express puts some detail to this "minor verbal dispute".
The outbreak of disorder began after a mother and her daughter were set upon by a gang of 20 Asian youths armed with baseball bats, iron bars and pitchforks. The shaven-headed thugs – all dressed in white robes – launched the attack after pouring out of a former office building which is being used as an unofficial mosque.
They attacked Karen Hayes, 46, and her 18-year-old daughter Emily before turning their weapons on the teenager’s car. The pair had gone to help after Karen’s 15-year-old son Sean and a friend were beaten up by the gang. Police have said it is unlikely the mob will be brought to justice.
So what the BBC consider "a minor verbal dispute" actually turns out to be an armed gang attacking a mother and daughter after already beating up her son and his friend. (ITV local news interviewed the mother who revealed a large bruise on her thigh administered with a lead pipe. They also showed the remains of the daughter's car which had had it's windows caved in by this "verbal dispute") .
I wonder why the BBC want to play down the real nature of the cause of these confrontations?
